Re: What is the difference between QRP Guys and QRP Builder?

Thanks for the offer.
I know what I need, it is the BNC connector which I intend to get to once this trip is over.
Yes, I do have a drill press.
Again, nice to see the spirit of a ham helping a ham is still alive.

Re: sBitx - any good ?

Got one. Only using it with the native FT8 program, no other modes. A bit nervous about the reports of blown finals over 2:1 SWR and the spares included. Operating at 70% power and just made qso number 275. It runs very well, some minor quirks and unfamiliarity with Linux. Neighbor ham saw it and go...

Re: What is the difference between QRP Guys and QRP Builder?

Ordered the version of the AX Elecraft antenna. Came with wrong parts. Spoke to Hendricks, said he made a mistake and would send correct parts when they arrived from back order. I noted that I live and travel in a motorhome, could he let me know when he would ship, not knowing where I would be at th...

Use them in the tablet configuration, have both keyboards, but using a mouse works fine. No issues and been using them for years now. Have two because I am a belt and suspend...

Re: My Dilemma: I need one radio to rule them all

We live in motorhome 10 months a year. After much trial and error the station is a 3 week old Icom 705, a ZM-2 tuner to a variety of antennas, mostly though centered on a 31 foot Jackie pole or a variety of Wolf River and Buddipole parts. I have a MX-P50M amp left from the KX3 stuff I just sold and ...

Re: Is the X6100 a keeper?

Sorry to say that I just went through two of them. Radioddity was more than gracious as far as the first exchange and the the eventual refund. I do not understand why anyone is willing to accept being an equipment tester for a company at their own expense . The first unit lost the ability to use the...
