If anyone is having an issue getting CW messages to send, I did a 20 second video of how to do it with the x6100. Make sure you're on the latest firmware, as some previous ones did not work.

Importing Pictures
I wanted to include a couple of photos in some of my posts today, but the size was too big apparently. Is there any recommendations/suggestions how to get the pictures at a lower resolution without ruining the picture quality?
Thanks in advance.

Congratulations on learning the code Kurt! You'll really enjoy it especially if you do POTA/SOTA.

Re: (tr)uSDX
Hi Andy, Thanks for the reply. After messing around with it and threatening it with a hammer ;) I got the SWR and watt meters to display on it. And, about an hour ago a friend of mine in CA who has one of these said his audio was really bad as well and was told that a bluetooth dongle would work and...

Re: Beach and Vacation Antenna Recommendations
Good morning, Sounds like a fun vacation! If you check out "Costal Waves And Wires" on YouTube, K4OGO does many beach activations. He also is QRP, so would be a great resource. If you can get a reasonably priced surf casting fishing pole holder that goes into the sand, that would work gre...

Re: Antenna Supports
I did a SOTA trip in VA in 2021 and had one summit that there weren't any trees. I had a fishing pole that I took along and used guy wires for my random wire. Just this past weekend, I tried something different for just a regular activation - I got a spike (a tent peg) and a $12 mirror mount and put...

(tr)uSDX
I finally got my (tr)uSDX delivered on Saturday. It took just over a month to be received from China. I had watched many YouTube videos on it (including Thomas K4SWL review), so I knew going into it that the speaker is almost useless, which it is. I have an external speaker and a headset that I brou...

Re: Is the X6100 a keeper?
I have the SW-3C (the newer version), IC 705, X6100 and as of Saturday afternoon the (tr)uSDX. Each have a different reason why I purchased. The IC 705 was purchased in Nov. 2020 right after my knee replacement and used a lot in the shack while recovering. By the time I was ready to activate, I knew...
