Re: Amazing what 3 watts can do.

I only recently received my QMX and I'm very much looking forward to taking it to the field.
Working stations with such a modest setup is always so much fun!
Cheers,
Thomas

Re: Selling FT891 to fund a ???

First of all, good on you for making such great progress on your CW path! Most of the CW ops I know (including me) are introverts. :) I agree with KC0MYW. You should consider getting an affordable CW-only radio for your field work. The Venus SW-3B is a very nice radio--performance beyond its price. ...

Re: Anyone looking for a KX1?

I don't think you'll have a difficult time selling this. I, too, have some of those replacement buttons from (I believe) Mouser.

Re: Another new to me rig: Mission RGO One

I absolutely love my RGO One and actually plan to make a "Getting To Know You" video about it in the coming weeks. It has a "legacy" radio design appeal that really speaks to me. That and its receiver is brilliant, keying amazing, and ergonomics excellent. You got a great radio t...

I wonderful report from one of my favorite provinces! :)
Hey--consider sharing one of your field reports on QRPer.com as well. Just send it to my email. We could use some more Maritime field reports. :)

Thanks for sharing this, OM!

Thomas

Re: Travel to Europe with KX3 questions

I'm a little late to reply here: :) I should add here that the great thing about the KX3 is that it can be powered by a very modest battery. I know a couple talent cell USB battery banks ( https://amzn.to/3Z9w8Ve ) would pass through security and be well within spec of what you can carry on. Only is...

Re: AX1 Antenna thoughts?

At one point in the past (I think in 2020?) I did use an AX1 to do an SSB activation. I really wish I would have recorded it, but back then I was doing less videos. If I recall, I got my 10 contacts in about 25 minutes (something short of half an hour). I was running 10 watts and my signal reports w...
