Where to go for QRP activations
Hi all. I am seeking advice. I am towing a small travel trailer-18’ to FDIM and then on to Maine and Lobstercon. I actually am somewhat planning and have reservations in lubec, ME July 1-9, then Lobstercon July 11-16. After FDIM and July 1, I have no plans. I was thinking about heading to Georgia, a...

Road trip to OzarkCon
Hosted by the 4sqrp club, OzarkCon is in Branson, MO over the eclipse weekend. I’ll be leaving from the Los Angeles area, towing a small travel trailer on Easter Sunday probably along I40 getting there, maybe I70 or I80 in the return, depending upon weather. I’ll be stopping at parks along the way. ...

Re: Reverse Beacon Client App
I did my first CW activation yesterday, using HAMRS. Apparently, HAMRS connects with the RBN spotting network, and showed when I was spotted. I was surprised, and happy.

Re: Report from North Rim, Grand Canyon, K-0030
I'm a 69 year old retired firefighter. Worked for 50 years, so now time to do other type of work, like work on ham radio and fishing. Kids are out of the house. My wife of 48 years died a couple of years ago, so need to do something for fun and to stay busy.
Have fun as you can.

CW POTA Activation, K-4463
I did my first CW activation today - actually tonight. Late shift. I actually got out a straight key, plugged it into my new-to-me HB1B and got on the air. I had made CW QSOs before, but used the PTT button on my mike to key the radio. I did that a lot many years ago while working VHF contests from ...

Report from North Rim, Grand Canyon, K-0030
I will take the advantage of being at more than 8,800 feet, and literally on the edge of a side canyon to the Grand Canyon (Marble Canyon?) so great take off, but more than 200 SSB QSOs on 10 meters Friday afternoon, 9/15 and into 16. Total more than 400 QSOs on all bands, including 15 and 20. I jus...

Re: Another new to me rig: Mission RGO One
My understanding is that Boris worked for, I think, TenTec at one time. I have not spent enough time with my RGO One, but enjoy it. I actually had two, but traded one for a spectrum analyzer/tracking generator. One may never have enough QRP rigs, but maybe more than one or two of the same rig? I do ...

ABR Industries 23316-BM-25-3ferrite
In several recent posts, Tom uses a 25' RG-316 coax to connect his radio to his antenna. It was made for him by ABR Industries, part #23316-BM-25-3ferrite. He has his usual link to the item in his post. The link is no longer working. When I have gone to the ABR website, I get an error message - prod...

Re: 2 band LNR MountainTopper help
Thanks, Rick.
Just wanted a manual, and to verify the operation of the radio. The 2-band radio seems to operate similarly to the 3-band.
