I made a winder with unun mounted and wire attached directly to it via strain relief.
hope u can see it in picture.

top pic is 3 band trapped efhw

previous ununs just used alligator clip to grab wire

only time wire has broken was caused by dog running thru lower end

hi Mike.
I put small hole in mine, tho rarely re adjust it. it's the only pota rig ive used to date but like u ordered the 45 skinny after reading bout his retirement

it's only as hard as u make it. 1st rig here was HW16, Max 75w input in olden novice days. 2nd rig was a tentec515 w 5w out on a good day. qrp has been a mainstay in over 50 yrs of operating. obtaining a rig with a good receiver is very important. if ucant hear them you can't work em; 1w or 100w. 50...

'have a 2nd hand under 500 x6100 that works aok for portable ops n in shack. yes it has some issues and certainly not a 1st rig fir a new ham. personally glad I waited to find a sub $500 unit although I don't have the g90 seems it is reliable rig ...based on comments at groups.io wealth of info at g...
