What QRP Rigs do you have, and how do you use them?
On some other platforms I have seen QRP operators discussing the rigs they own, and how they choose among them for particular field use cases. That seems like a good topic for this forum. Any thoughts?

Re: Random wire antenna
Can anybody offer thoughts on the use of dedicated counterpoise wires with 9:1 Random Wire antennas for QRP operations? I have a Packtenna 9:1 with 71 ft radiator that I have used with some success with only the 15 ft coax feedline for a counterpoise. I also have a Tufteln 9:1 with 35 ft radiator an...

Re: POTA & FT8 Data
Thanks everyone for the responses! I do agree that CW and POTA seem like a natural fit. And I do appreciate the fact that FT8 would require bringing along a laptop and associated stuff. Given that my ideal vision would be for CW-POTA, I probably at least try to see if I can learn it, albeit a slow ...

Re: POTA & FT8 Data
Hi Stom, Congratulations on your retirement. I did the same last year, and amateur radio has been a great activity for me, with an emphasis on POTA. I am a recent licensee (August 2020), and I have been having a great time developing and using my CW skills. The July 2022 POTA update video on YouTube...

Re: Packable POTA Field Kits
Lol, I figured the hat and chair would be useful to show size comparison of the 3 kits. The TX-500 kit is a bit larger and more complicated, but it will come next.

Re: TR-35 group/forum
Have just taken delivery of my new TR-35 and wow, what a radio. This one is definitely a keeper! Quick question, did anyone establish whether there was a .io email forum? Also interested to know what keys people are using with the TR-35? My palm paddle goes very well, but what others are in use out...

Packable POTA Field Kits
I have 3 QRP radios that support my POTA habit, a TX-500, a TR-35, and a KX2. I built a field kit around each rig, so they are ready to go for an activation whenever time and weather permit. I find it difficult to choose between rigs, because they each have their own appeal. I have noticed myself gr...

Re: questions about bioenno batteries
I'm new to QRP and will be getting a bioenno battery to use with my Venus SW-3B. I have questions for which I am unable to find clear answers. Any help would be appreciated. I am asking here about only the bioenno series 12v batteries. 1. Can the charger you buy with one bioenno battery be used wit...
