Rockmite. The rockmite was my first kit. It's a simple transceiver, and you get even get a 10 meter one now. The qrpme guys sell them now-- lots of fun and you can make it-- qrpme has a lot of easy kits-- a rockmite is an easy kit. Check out w5usj chuck's website about rockmites.
