For the SW-3B, google for CW monitor volume reduce. A resistance must be changed. Otherwise it is very loud, at least for me.
Concerning antennas, try Endfed Half wave antennas, or linked HW center fed dipoles, both in inv V configuration. Apex at 6m high is enough from 40 to 10m
