M10 thread pitch

Post by N3CFX »

Any idea what the thread pitch is on "M10" size antenna parts obtained from Ali Express and similar? None of the literature mentions thread pitch. There appear to be three standard pitches for M10 - 1.0, 1.25, and 1.5 mm per thread. (noted metric pitch is expressed as mm/thread where imperial is expressed as threads/inch.)
I should check out the thread-measuring gadgets at the local hardware stores, but not sure how complete they are. I want to get adapters as needed to mix M10 and 3/8-24 antenna pieces.
thanks, geoff, N3CFX

This thread suggests M10-1.5 is common among the Asian-sourced telescoping whips.

Later in that thread there may be a link to the adapters you're looking for!
