Discontinuation of the Yaesu FT-818ND

Yaesu apparently alerted their dealers that FT-818ND (and also FTM-400XDR) production will be discontinued due to parts supply problems.

Does anyone have any idea if these discontinued radios will be brought back into production when supply chains return to something resembling the old normal?

I have absolutely no information or insight, but my guess would be that they won't bring these models back. I'm hopeful that there will be a more modern replacement at some point. I'm rather skeptical, but perhaps there will be something announced in connection with Hamvention this weekend...
