Anderson Powerpole to Elecraft connector

Post by N8XMS »

In Thomas's recent KX1/AX1 video I noticed that he used a small bit of cable to convert the Anderson powerpole output of his battery pack to the barrel connection for his Elecraft KX1. Was this a homebrew converter or a commercial product?

I just made one. The KX2 power plug is a standard 5.5/2.1mm jack. I bought 20 of 'em (I guess I need 19 more KX2s) for $10: https://www.amazon.com/CENTROPOWER-Conn ... SDF4S?th=1. Then just crimp the PowerPoles onto the ends of the leads. Powerwerx also makes them pre-made. E.g., this one: https://www.hamradio.com/detail.cfm?pid=H0-011068. I can't remember if they make one with a shorter cord.
